The Iguassu Falls Area Guru

This photograph was taken last Friday in the vicinity of the Iguassu National Park in the rural area of Capitâo Leônidas Marques, three hours from Foz do Iguaçu. The Wet Bridge or Ponte Molhada across the Monteiro River (Rio Monteiro)may soon be under water. The reason a proposed hydropower project that may be approved anytime soon.

Foz do Iguaçu has received the 2007 Swiss Tourism Award under the category Water Cities. The Award was received in Lugano, Switzerland, during the I Viaggiatori - Swiss International Holiday Exhibit, held November 1- 4.
