Bus to Paraguay from Puerto Iguazu

BUS TO PARAGUAY FROM PUERTO IGUAZU

An Argentine company called Transporte El Rapido travels from Puerto Iguazú to Ciudad del Este via Foz do Iguaçu. If you have that illusion of three countries in one morning idea, this is the bus line to take. This is the true International Circular Urban Transport bus. The El Rapido bus leaves the International Bus Terminal of Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) to the International Bus Teminal of Ciudad del Este (Paraguay). The problem connected to this dream is the nightmare that triple-border-two-bridge-six-checkpoint crossing may mean. That is why the line is not popular with tourists. Can be tried though.
This bus can not pick up or leave passengers anywhere in Foz do Iguaçu.

So for US citizens who are coming from Puerto Iquazú, Argentina to Ciudad del Este, Paraguay - do we have to pay for a Brazilian visa even though we are just connecting in Brazil?

Jackson, I assume there are also buses in the opposite direction (from Ciudad del Este to Puerto Iguazu); we're coming from Asunción.

Poor Niagara! Has Eleanor Roosevelt ever been to Iguassu Falls?

Upon seeing Iguassu Falls, Eleanor Roosevelt is reported to have said: Poor Niagara! You will find that in Spanish, Portuguese, French and possibly other languages. Everyone, when trying to learn about Iguassu Falls, will hear this Poor Niagara – Iguassu Story. What is happening hear now is that I have launched a campaign, through several of my blogs trying to find out whether this is true or false and what is the context in which the first lady said that. US First lady Eleanor Roosevelt visited Brazil in March 14-17 in 1944. She flew from the US over the Caribbean, made stops at some islands and for sure visited Trinidad and Tobago. From TT the First lady flew to Brazil entering the country through Belem – at the mouth of the Amazon River. Eleanor Roosevelt’s Belem visit has been well documented in Brazil.
