The Paraná River runs between Foz do Iguaçu and Ciudad del Este. This place is about 10 kilometers from the Two-Nation Dam of Itaipu. The water takes on a greenish hue after the dam. The dam holds back most of the nutrients, silt and debris that normally make the river have a darker ou muddier color. I was on the Pedro Basso building downtown. Unfortunatelt there is no access for people, tourists ou locals in this area. Only place to see the river is on the Cataratas Iate Clube restaurant.
