This photograph has won the 5th place in a contest that chose the 10 best photos depicting non professional photographers' feelings about living near or around the world-famous and sacred Iguassu falls. The winner is from Marechal Cândido Rondon, a city of about 40.000 located on the coast of Itaipu Lake (Reservoir). I later learnt that the school teacher, model and dancer above is Marlene Haboski de Amorim part of the Raízes (Roots) German Dance Group from Marechal C Rondon. I wrote a lot about the moment the camera captured when Marlene poses like an egret as if getting ready to fly. This gesture is very normal and at the same time very personal. It is as if the Iguassu Falls' creative mists transmits a kind of lightness that is felt by people from all over the world when in contact with Mother Nature and Mother Falls. Marlene told me that she readied the camera and gave it to a friend nearby who went on and clicked the moment into eternity. The Iguassu Falls Area Guru Blog.
